This Privacy Policy describes how BBXLabs ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the BBXLabs website at bbxlabs.us (the "Site") and the mobile applications we publish (the "Apps"). We build privacy-first products. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and the Apps work offline.
01Who we are
BBXLabs is an independent software studio that has been building mobile apps since 2008. You can contact us at legal@bbxlabs.us.
02Information we collect
2.1 Website (bbxlabs.us)
- Server logs: standard, minimal server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) retained for a short period for security and abuse prevention.
- Contact emails: when you email us, we keep the message and your email address to reply and for our records.
- No cookies, no trackers: the Site does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking pixels.
2.2 Mobile Apps
- Local storage by default: the Apps store your data locally on your device. Your entries (logs, schedules, settings) do not leave the device unless you explicitly use an export or sync feature.
- No account required: you can use the Apps without creating an account or providing an email address.
- Ad-free with Premium: the free versions of some Apps display ads via Google AdMob. Premium removes all ads. We never sell your data, and your logged data never leaves your device regardless of version.
- Optional integrations: if you enable integrations such as Health Connect (Android) or HealthKit (iOS), data is shared only with those platform frameworks, on your device, under your control.
- Optional cloud sync (where available): if an App offers optional cloud sync, it uses the platform's native, encrypted sync (e.g. CloudKit). We do not have access to the contents of your synced data.
- Purchases: in-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play Store. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction, never your full payment card details.
- Diagnostics: the Apps do not include third-party crash reporting SDKs by default. If we ever add opt-in diagnostics, we will update this Policy and ask for your consent.
03How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the Apps.
- To respond to your support and contact requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
04What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
- We do not build advertising profiles about you.
- We do not require an account to use the core features of the Apps.
- We do not read or access your health data.
05Data retention
Data stored locally on your device remains until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Server logs are retained for a short, bounded period. Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable record-keeping.
06Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because the Apps store data locally, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App or by uninstalling it. For any data we do hold (such as contact emails), email legal@bbxlabs.us.
07Children's privacy
The Site and the Apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us.
08International users
BBXLabs is based in Europe. When we process personal data, we do so in accordance with the GDPR. If you are located outside the EEA/UK, your information may be processed in a jurisdiction with different data protection laws.
09Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but because the Apps store data locally and avoid third-party SDKs, your exposure surface is small by design.
10Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, we will also notify you within the App or on the Site.
