This Privacy Policy describes how BBXLabs ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Steddy mobile application ("Steddy" or the "App"), published on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The short version: Steddy stores your data locally on your device, requires no account, and never sells your data. The free version may display ads via Google AdMob; Premium subscribers see no ads.
01About Steddy
Steddy is a personal supplement tracking and organization tool. It helps you log your daily supplements, manage your stack, set reminders, and track your adherence over time. Steddy also supports family profiles, allowing you to track supplements for multiple family members within the same app. Steddy does not provide medical advice, prescribe, recommend, or endorse any supplement, dose, timing, or combination, and does not supply or sell any product. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting, changing, or stopping any supplement regimen.
02Data we store
- Supplement entries: the supplements, doses, schedules, brands, categories, and inventory counts you log.
- Dose logs: records of doses taken, skipped, or pending, including the date and time.
- App settings: language, notification preferences, reminder times, and similar configuration.
- Streak and adherence data: daily summaries calculated from your dose logs to track your consistency.
- Family profiles: if you use family profiles, each profile's name, supplements, and logs are stored separately on your device.
- Measurement preference: your choice of metric or imperial units.
All of the above is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework (iOS) or Room database (Android). It does not leave your device unless you explicitly use an export feature described below.
03Data we do not collect
- We do not require an account, email address, or phone number.
- We do not collect your home address or any contact details.
- We do not read, view, or have access to the contents of your logged supplement data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone.
- We do not use your supplement data for advertising purposes.
04Third-party SDKs and integrations
Steddy uses the following third-party SDKs. Each operates under its own privacy policy. We describe what each does and what data it may process below.
4.1 Google AdMob (ads — free version only)
The free version of Steddy displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads. On iOS, Steddy uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before allowing personalized ads. If you decline tracking, AdMob serves contextual (non-personalized) ads only. Premium subscribers see no ads and AdMob is not active. See Google AdMob's Privacy Policy.
4.2 Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
Steddy uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports and performance data when the app crashes. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crashlytics may collect device model, OS version, and a crash stack trace. No supplement data, names, or personal health information is sent to Crashlytics. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
4.3 RevenueCat (subscription management)
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple's StoreKit (iOS) and Google Play Billing (Android), with RevenueCat as our subscription management provider. RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase data (such as product ID and purchase date) to manage your subscription across devices. We never receive your full payment card details — those are handled exclusively by Apple or Google. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
4.4 Home screen widgets
Steddy's home screen widgets show a preview of your daily progress, refill alerts, and streak directly on your device's home screen and Lock Screen. This information is read from the App's local database via a shared App Group (iOS) or WidgetProvider (Android) and is not transmitted anywhere.
4.5 Notifications
If you enable notifications, Steddy uses Apple's UserNotifications framework (iOS) or Android's NotificationManager (Android) to deliver supplement reminders at times you configure. Notification content is generated on your device and is not sent to BBXLabs servers.
4.6 Data export (Premium)
If you use the data export feature (Premium), the App generates a file on your device containing your data. You decide where to save or send that file. BBXLabs does not receive a copy.
05Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple's StoreKit (iOS) and Google Play Billing (Android), with RevenueCat as our subscription management provider. BBXLabs receives only a confirmation of the transaction (such as the product ID and purchase date) for the purpose of granting the purchased entitlement. RevenueCat may process anonymous purchase data to manage your subscription across devices. We never receive your full payment card details — those are handled exclusively by Apple or Google.
06Permissions requested by the App
- Notifications: used to deliver supplement reminders that you configure. Optional, and you can disable at any time.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): requested to show personalized ads via AdMob in the free version. You can decline — the app will show contextual (non-personalized) ads instead. Premium removes all ads.
- Advertising ID (Android): used by Google AdMob in the free version. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads. Premium removes all ads.
07Children's privacy
Steddy is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
08Data retention and deletion
Because your data is stored locally on your device, it remains until you delete it within the App (for example, by deleting individual supplements, using the "Delete all data" option in Settings, or clearing the App's data) or until you uninstall the App. Uninstalling Steddy removes all locally stored data.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live (EU/EEA, UK, California, and other jurisdictions), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Because Steddy stores data locally, you can exercise these rights directly inside the App or by uninstalling it. 10Security
Steddy's local-first design keeps your data on your device, which minimizes the attack surface. We do not operate servers that store your logged data. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we do process (such as purchase confirmations).
11International users
BBXLabs is based in Europe. When we process personal data, we do so in accordance with the GDPR.
12Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, we will also notify you within the App or on the App's listing page.
